Waiver Overview

This Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk Agreement (“Waiver”) governs your participation in any firearms training course, knife training program, range activity, educational event, or related service offered by Traveling Guns & Knives (“TGK,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). It applies whether training takes place at a fixed facility, a mobile range location, or any other site TGK operates from.

By participating in any TGK activity, you confirm that you have read this Waiver in full, understand its contents, and voluntarily accept the terms described below. This document is intended to be read carefully — not skimmed — before you set foot on the range or in the classroom.

Acceptance of this Waiver is required before participating in any TGK training, range session, or event. No exceptions.

What This Waiver Covers

Assumed Risks

The inherent risks of firearms and knife training you knowingly accept.

Your Responsibilities

Expected conduct, safety compliance, and equipment care during training.

Release Terms

The liability release you grant TGK, its staff, and affiliates.

Your Acknowledgment

The digital signature confirming you understand and agree.

Firearms and knife training involve inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken by TGK, its instructors, or fellow participants. By participating, you acknowledge and voluntarily accept these risks as a condition of taking part.

Firearms Training

Risks associated with live-fire exercises, malfunctions, and handling live ammunition.

Knife Handling Training

Risks of cuts, punctures, or injury during edged-weapon instruction and drills.

Range Activities

Risks present on an active range, including noise, ricochet, and proximity to live fire.

Physical Movement

Risks of strain, falls, or fatigue during movement- and scenario-based drills.

Outdoor Exercises

Risks tied to weather, terrain, and other outdoor training conditions.

Classroom Demonstrations

Risks associated with live or inert demonstration equipment used for instruction.

You understand and voluntarily accept these risks as an informed participant, and you confirm that no one has pressured you to take part.

Safety on the range is a shared responsibility. As a participant, you agree to:

Follow Instructor Direction

Comply promptly with all instructions given by TGK instructors and staff.

Obey Safety Rules

Follow all posted and verbally communicated range and facility safety rules.

Use Equipment Responsibly

Handle firearms, knives, and gear only as instructed and for their intended purpose.

Report Unsafe Conditions

Immediately notify staff of any unsafe equipment, behavior, or environment.

Follow Range Commands

Respond immediately to range commands such as “cease fire” or “stop.”

Maintain Lawful Conduct

Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws at all times.

Training activities can be physically demanding. Participants are responsible for understanding their own physical condition and its suitability for the activity chosen.

You confirm that you are physically capable of participating in your selected training, and that you will let instructors know of any relevant physical limitations before the session begins, where appropriate.

Participants must not take part while impaired by alcohol, drugs, illness, or any other condition that could affect their ability to safely handle firearms, knives, or training equipment. TGK instructors reserve the right to decline or pause participation if impairment is suspected, for the safety of everyone on site.

In consideration of being permitted to participate in TGK training, range activities, and related services, you agree to the following release, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

You release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Traveling Guns & Knives, its owners, instructors, employees, contractors, and affiliates (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury that may be sustained while participating in TGK activities, to the extent such loss, damage, or injury results from the inherent risks voluntarily assumed under this Waiver and as permitted under [Governing State] law.

This release does not apply to conduct that cannot lawfully be released under applicable law, such as gross negligence or willful misconduct, where such limitations are required by [Governing Jurisdiction].

You are responsible for the safekeeping and condition of your own belongings brought to any TGK activity. TGK is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.

Personal Equipment

Bags, holsters, optics, and gear you bring to training.

Any personally owned firearms used during training.

Knives

Any personally owned bladed tools or trainers you bring.

If you prefer not to appear in promotional materials, please notify staff before your session begins and indicate your preference in the digital acknowledgment section of this page.
